This exhibition is similar to the Royal Acadamy show in London, though fortunately sculptors were exempt from queing with heavy artworks, and the sculpture chosen by Francesca Dimond was selected by sending in images.

During the 'Fawley Court' exhibition, (see above), Francesca Dimond raised money for the RNLI Dartmouth lifeboat station. In return for a donation of any size visitors were invited to put a pebble into one of the 'Beacon' sculptures in celebration of the lives saved at sea, or in remembrance of a loved one.
£ 129.64 was raised over the weekend, and this was then presented to Dartmouth Lifeboat Station which has been opened since November last year. They are still raising money to purchase a new 'D Class' Lifeboat. Please follow the link above to find out more and to make donations.
