The 'Moabirdtree was commisssioned to celebrate the opening of a concert hall/gallery in the Dordogne.
The branches are all forged and welded steel, the leaves are copper with green patination. The trunk is reinforced cement, textured with peat (substitute).
Concealed within the branches is the Moa-Bird, contructed from an old tractor mower blade. The roots are forged steel with steel pegs to secure the sculpture.
