The Day Mark is a Victorian Beacon situated on the coastal path at Kingswear, Devon on land now owned by the National Trust..
It was built as a navigation aid for vessels approaching the entrance to the river Dart in Devon.
This painting was inspired by the vivid contrast in colours - the lime green of barley and the pastel blue of the sea and sky.
