Willow spiral

The spiral obelisk is constructed from a steel frame. 'Green' willow is then weaved through the structure. Eventually the willow will disintegrate and can be rewoven if desired. Instructions on the technique for weaving will be given. The original willow should last 4-5 years.
This was an idea that came about in collaboration with the 'English Hurdle' company in Somerset who wanted to find a design in steel that would function well when the willow had disintegrated.
